My biggest objection to huge solar facilities is the use of productive ag land for an intermittent and ineffective means of producing electricity; the best efforts seem to reduce the availability and increase the cost of electricity.

Our neighbors have conservation easements on their property. They have made the commitment to protect views and their property from development. Would a utility scale solar facility in the immediate area really be appropriate when they've shown such foresight?
