Remember Boutique Solar?
It was a utility scale project proposed in Pleasant View in 2022. It was a 127 MW facility developed by Invenergy in connection with Guzman Energy on irrigated farm land that would create 3 full-time jobs once completed.
About 140 residents attended the first and only neighborhood meeting hosted by the developer. Most questions asked were never answered. The project was not built and landowner leases have been terminated. Other developers continue to look in that locale, but many landowners in the area have formed an aversion to signing future agreements with solar developers.
